Hotel Reservation General Terms & Conditions:

Guarantee Policy

Guarantee with a valid credit card is required at time of making reservations. This guarantees your room upon arrival and for the period of your intended stay and provides security for payment of any outstanding account. If you wish to stay beyond the period of your original booking we request that you advise us as soon as you are aware so that we may extend both the booking and your occupancy of your original room, subject to availability.


  • Payments for short term bookings are due at the time of check-in and can be made by credit card, cash or EFTPOS. If you have opted to include additional services to your reservation (e.g. meals, laundry etc.) payment of these are also due at the time of check-in.

  • You are and remain personally liable to pay all charges for services provided to you.

  • You agree that any charges for services to you, not billed at the time of check-in, may be added to your account for settlement. You agree to pay interim accounts when presented, even though you may not have departed from our hotel.

Any prior agreed settlement arrangements must be met within 7 days of departure. Failure to settle all accounts within 7 days will result in all outstanding amounts being debited from the same credit card used to guarantee your reservation and payment of your account.

Rates and Charges

Room rates:

You agree that you will pay to us the room rate for each day of your stay and any additional charges up until the time you advise us that you have departed from our hotel (check-out).

Meal Rates:

Meals are charged on a day rate and include breakfast, evening meal and a crib lunch that is available to take away at breakfast.

All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (unless otherwise specified) per room per night and are inclusive of GST.

Prices are subject to availability and can change without notification due to fluctuations in charges and currency.

Blackout/special event periods may apply. The "from" rates displayed on the website are indicative rates only, are subject to availability, and terms & conditions apply. Please select dates and check availability to get the most up to date pricing.

Each rate or hotel package available via the Newman Hotel website is subject to individual terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy

For all short term reservations, bookings must be cancelled by 2:00 pm, 48 hours in advance of your standard check-in time. A no-show is when you do not check-in within 24 hours of your standard check-in time.

Cancellations after this time and no-shows are subject to a fee which will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee your reservation and payment of your account. The cancellation and no-show fee is equal to the accommodation fee payable for 1 night of stay.

If you will be arriving more than 24 hours after your standard check-in time, you must call and notify us if you wish to uphold the remaining days of your booking. Failure to do this may result in your entire booking being considered as a no-show and the resale of your room to other guests.


Standard check-in time is 2.00 pm on the first day of your reservation. However alternative check-in times can be arranged for anytime of the day as long as you notify us in advance. Please call us on

(08) 9175 9300 if you require a later or earlier check in time. You agree that we may apply a charge, if your required check-in time requires us to keep the room empty on the previous day or following day. We will advise you of these charges when you notify us of your alternative check-in time.

You must advise us of any change in the number/name of persons using the room if different than stated in original reservation. Please note we only allow one person per room within a King Single Room and a maximum of 2 persons per room in all other room types.

When you check-in, you may be asked to provide photographic identification. If you are unable to provide such identification, your reservation may be cancelled and you may be liable to pay us an amount equal to the full reservation amount plus any other costs incurred by us in connection with your reservation.

During your stay

Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

All outstanding balances must be paid at the reception upon check-out unless prior settlement arrangements have been accepted by us in writing. Failure to settle all accounts at check-out will result in all outstanding amounts being charged to the same credit card used to guarantee your reservation and payment of your account. You agree to pay interim accounts when presented even though you may not have departed from our hotel.


Standard check-out time is 10.00 am on the last day of your reservation. Late check-out times can be arranged by calling (08) 9175 9300. If you fail to vacate your room after your standard or late check-out time you may incur additional room charges. You agree that we may apply a charge, if your required check-out time requires us to keep the room empty on the following day. We will advise you of these charges when you notify us of your alternative check-out time.

You agree to settle all accounts at the reception upon check-out. Failure to settle all outstanding balances at check-out will result in outstanding amounts being charged to the same credit card used to guarantee your reservation and payment of your account.

You must return all room keys at check-out. If you lose or fail to return keys, you agree to pay $50 to replace keys. $250 will be charged if the locks to the room require changing due to lost keys. Damage or stolen items will be charged at the cost to replace them and any delivery costs to get the goods to site and install them.

Facilities & Services

Whilst care is taken to ensure that the description of our facilities and services is accurate, these are continually being changed, upgraded and on occasion taken out of service. If any feature or facility is essential to you in choosing a particular property, it is your responsibility to confirm with the property prior to making your reservation that the feature or facility will be available during your stay.

To the extent permitted by law, Newman Hotel is not liable for omissions, errors or changes to the facilities and services at a property, whether temporary or permanent.

Accommodation facilities listed may not apply to all room types.

Third Party Products and Services

Newman Hotel sometimes includes third party products or services in special packages and Newman Hotel is not liable under any circumstances for any failure by third party providers to provide products or services, nor for any error, alteration or change of any kind made by those third party providers following acceptance of a booking by them.

All third party coupons, vouchers, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by those third parties.

Newman Hotel does not warrant the accuracy of any information, statements or representations made by third parties and is not liable for any act or omission, default or negligence of any third party provider.

Releases and Indemnity

Any monies or other valuables, goods or vehicles that belong to you and are brought on the property, car park or in your room remain your responsibility and we are not responsible for their safekeeping.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Newman Hotel and its current and former officers, employees and agents against and from all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgments and losses of any kind whatsoever (including consequential and economic losses, property loss/damage and damage for injury, including personal injury and death) arising out of, caused by, attributable to or resulting from your reservation or your stay at Newman Hotel for any reason whatsoever.

You agree that regardless of your length of stay there is no tenancy or other proprietary rights created under any laws.

We grant you a licence to stay in our hotel and we reserve the right to terminate the licence at any time.

Use of Information

You agree we may use your email address to send you information and for marketing purposes.

We adhere to the National Privacy Principle relating to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. All information collected from you is required either to meet the requirements of the state legislation regarding the maintenance of a guest register, for fire safety reasons, for billing purposes or for any other purpose stated in our Privacy Policy. We will not make this information available to any third party without your prior consent except where required by law or to enforce our collection of amounts owing by you. You must advise us if any details provided at check-in are incorrect. All this data will be retained for the minimum length of time to comply with taxation and accounting requirements (usually seven years). Any personal data is accessible only by our authorised personnel. A charge will be levied if a copy of your reservation is required after six months from your departure. Copies (other than electronic data) are not available after two years. We will not knowingly permit any misuse of this data.


These terms and conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Western Australia, Australia.

Nothing in these terms and conditions affect any rights you may have and which by law cannot be excluded, including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (cth) and under state and territory consumer protection legislation.

Your acceptance of Newman Hotel’s offer of accommodation is on the terms and conditions outlined above.
